7 looks from the Filmfare red carpet that we won't forget

We put together a list of celebs who stood out on the red carpet - here's the good and the bad.Celebs love the red carpet. They strut their stuff for the cameras and pose for the paparazzi excitedly clicking away. The Filmfare Awards last night were no different - but how did the celebs fare?
The Awards were attended by some of Bollywood's best and while many managed to turn heads, there were a few fashion faux pas we wish the stars had avoided.
We put together a list of celebs who stood out on the red carpet - here's the good and the bad:

Sonam Kapoor's Bold Power Suit

★ ★ ★ ★ ★
Sonam is a paprazzi favourite, she's always dressed to impress. The Bollywood diva took the power suit to a whole new level in a Vera Wang embellished peacoat with cropped pants. Note the minimal accessories, please. She definitely gets five stars.

Alia Bhatt's Overwhelming Fluff

★ ★ ☆ ☆ ☆
Alia Bhatt has a love affair with volume (remember her dress at last year's Filmfare Awards?), and this year she doubled the oomph in a Monsoori ball gown. Sadly, her petite frame drowned in all that frill. Maybe something a little less overwhelming next time?

Parineeti Chopra's Cinderella Moment

★ ★ ★ ★ ☆
Parineeti took Rihanna's words to heart and shone bright like a diamond Saturday night. The larger than life Kujta Meri dress cinched in at the waist, flattering the star's figure. The dress did all the talking without overpowering the Kill Dill actor. We give it two thumbs up.

Ranveer Singh. Period.

★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆
Let's face it, Ranveer Singh has carved a style of his own. This man does not adhere to normal style protocols and all his red carpet appearances are proof including this custom-made Karrtik Dhingra suit. Printed with the star's favourite Bolly films from the 80s and the 90s, it definitely stood out among the crowd - not in a positive way but hey, he's good looking, so we can forgive him.

Preity Zinta's Barbie Gown

★ ★ ☆ ☆ ☆
Preity Zinta's Garimon Roferos dress made it look like it's her Sweet 16. The colour and flower embellishments did not do justice to the star. We wish she had gone with something that didn't make us want to sing Aqua's Barbie Girl song.

Shahid Kapoor's All-White Suit

★ ★ ★ ★ ★
We're drooling. Shahid Kapoor defines class in this Gaurav Gupta white suit. His sartorial game on the red carpet keeps getting better.

Kajol's Velvet Curtain

★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆
Kajol's maroon velvet gown is an example of what not to wear to an award show. The glittery Manish Malhotra ensemble made the actor look frumpy and failed to complement her curves.
